The North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park will soon open its doors for the 2025 season. Visitors can enjoy this spectacular part of the Arizona landmark starting in mid-May.

The National Park Service announced that the North Rim will open at 6 a.m. on May 15. On the same day, the Grand Canyon Lodge and Grand Canyon Trail Rides will begin their seasonal operations.

Other visitor services, writes the National Park Service, will open at 8 a.m., including the campground, Grand Canyon Conservancy bookstore, and Backcountry Information Center.

Trip planning assistance
“Rangers will also be available daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time at the Roaring Springs Overlook Kiosk through Oct. 15 to provide information, trip planning assistance and to run park ranger programs,” the announcement states.

Visitors can enjoy full services at the North Rim – from lodging and food to showers and gas. If you want to eat at the lodge dining room, remember that dinner requires reservations.

Major snowstorm
Most commercial services will end their 2025 season on October 15. However, the North Rim itself will remain open until November 30, unless a major snowstorm forces an earlier closure.

For reservation information and other details about your visit, check the Grand Canyon National Park website.
